   I don’t have the answer. I didn’t know they could send HDTV over air. I thought you had to send it via coax cable and/or fiber to an HDTV receiver to an HDTV compatible Monitor/TV. Let me know when you figure this out. Good luck.

   Try either a smaller outdoor antenna that is amplified internally (round ones used for mobile homes that travel the highways or square box like ones that are for neighborhoods like yours). See links below. Or just use a traditional antenna that is small enough and amplify it with the amplifier shown in the link.

   I use a Terk indoor antenna in NYC. I pick up ABC, CBS, FOX, & NBC in HD (I pick up a bunch of other channels but not in HD). Its only $37 from Amazon.com. I have to play with the positioning a little bit, but I get my local channels in HD for $37!

   Something else to think about…

   There are federal regulations against community association and local government restrictions that prohibit installation of antennas for receiving over the air video programming.

   The community association can restrict the size of a satellite receiver to about 1 meter, and local permit regulations may prevent antenna’s from being higher than 12 meters above the roofline, but I don’t think there is a size limit to antennas for TV reception of local broadcasts.

   The only exception I could see is, “Under some circumstances where a central or common antenna is available, a community association or landlord may restrict the installation of individual antennas.”

   You could probably think about putting an antenna up and telling them they have no legal right to restrict your antenna.
