i just bought the ps3 and the hdtv component cables for it.?

But when i start motorstorm it is all green and there are like red lines going from the buttom. What can be wrong please help. I plugged in the cables right in the tv so i dont think its that and my tv is hdtv too. Im running out of things to do.
