is there a difference between a regular antenna and an hdtv antenna?

I dont have cable. I use a converter box and im thinking of buying this ‘hdtv’ antenna to replace my regular old antenna. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5000836
My question is does an hdtv antenna pick up the same channels as a regular antenna? Is there a difference?
